Embellish Color Challenge with Fabric

I created this card on the weekend for the Embellish Challenge.

I have been wanting to play with Felt so that was my fabric of choice.

The card is A2 in Craft cardstock.
I stamped the Friend sentiment on Pure Poppy Cardstock and clear heat embossed it.
I used a Fiskar punch on PTI's white cardstock  to transition the red to the craft.
The focal point is the felt flower cut with an old Sizzix die with a white button layered on two leaves stamped on New Leaf with New Leaf ink.

I hope you enjoyed the card,  Monica

Poppy Seed Challenge #2

I'm playing along with Lisa Johnson's challenge.

This is my second attempt on this card, the first one had way to many spots.  I will spare you the visual overload.

Check out the challenge here.

Start with PaperTrey Ink's White cardstock to create an A2 card.
Stamp dots randomly using Dot Spot stamp and Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise, Ocean Tides and Melon Berry Ink.
Cut Fillable Frames 1, Stamp with Versamark, and heat emboss with white powder.
Finish with matching button in the center of the stamps and a tab of Spring Moss satin ribbon on the sentiment.  Adhere the sentiment with dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by the blog and checking out the card.

Embellish Color Challenge with Borders

I didn't think I would have such a hard time putting peach and pink together.  I found that I had to minimize the pink to be happy with the color balance in the card.  I did enjoy working with Martha Stewart's Deep Lattice Punch.

All paper it PTI's, the sentiment is from PTI's Friend till the End stamp set and the button is from my stash.

I found that I needed to clear emboss the sentiment for it to show up.

Compose a Card Challenge #6

Here is my latest installment of Becky's Compose a Card Challenge.

I followed the template closely using PTI Enchanted Evening cardstock and some Stone from my stash of paper.  The ribbon is Enchanted Evening satin, the sentiment is from PTI's Mega Giga stamp set - I love the size of the sentiments in that set, the flower are the new Violets from PTI.  The white embossing is found in the sentiment.  I added pearls to the center of the flower and distressed the stone cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by the blog,
Monica

One Card - Two Challenges

I'm using one card to address two challenges.

First: Melissa Phillips current Photo Challenge from which I took my color inspiration and pattern.

Second: Lucy's Cards: Challenge 6 - Be Inspired

Lucy's challenge asked you to create a card inspired by another card you have seen.  I took my inspiration from a card my sister had done -

And finally my response to both challenges.

I like the way the new Nestabilities Labels 13 mimics  PTI's Background Basics Retro pattern.  I also scallop punched the front of the card base to align with the Plum cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
