I decided to play along with the current Embellish challenge. This challenge requires you to create a project using green, black, purple, and squares. Get all the details here if you would like to play along.
I have been loving all the Halloween projects of late so I combined Halloween and a clean and simple approach.
Aren't these little guys the cutest and I had a blast working with them. My markers skills is not at the Debbie Olsen level but I enjoy working with them.
I love cards that carry the theme to the inside so I cut a piece of Chartreuse paper from my stash and stamped a background of spiderwebs and a fun sentiment.
I hope you enjoy the card and decide to play along with the challenge.
Jessica

PTI August Blog Hop Challenge: Happy Halloween
Another PTI Blog Hop has rolled around and I have a Halloween card to share using a brown paper bag per blog hop rules.
I wanted a little of a masculine touch to the card so I decided to use the paper bag to create a leather look on the background. I definitely wanted to use some of the new PTI supplies I received this week, especially Mat Stack 4 which I cut from Orange Zest and stamped the image from Tiny Treat Halloween. I stamped the coordinating mat stack image a second time on white and added the cute little spider and sentiment. I punched out the white circle and mounted it to a kraft circle which I distressed. I used a tip from Dawn McVey to only adhere the sentiment circle at the top to the mat stack so that it will slip down into the library card pocket.
I cut a library card pocket in black, stamped a spider web in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I hope you enjoy the blog hop,
Jessica

PTI August Blog Hop Challenge: Happy Fall
I can't believe I haven't blogged since the last PTI Blog Hop! This month's challenge is a Brown Bag challenge, check out the details here. Here's my card for the challenge.
I'm incorporating the fall theme with the brown bag by cutting leaves from a paper sack and stamping with distress inks. I spiced up the leaves by tracing the veins of the leaves with a Copic Spica pen.
The sentiment is stamped on Orange Zest cardstock that was cut using a Spellbinder double ended tag and then trimmed, a tip I learned from Debbie Olson. The tag is attached with Chocolate Baker's twine with a chartreuse button.
Thanks for stopping by the blog and I will try to post more frequently.
