When combining the Moxie Fab World Challenge Diggin on Damask and WPlus9 Color Cue (9) Challenge, I wanted to create a damask background, like wallpaper. I would have flocked it if I had had any but settled for a white embossed look.
Once I had a larger than needed piece of white on pink “wallpaper”, I started pulling white, black and grey papers together. I picked the pattern paper that you see as the background and was literally auditioning all the others you see incorporated in the card. I had them stacked, atop one another; slightly askew to be able to see some of each and just loved the combination. The white with grey stamped script ad the lighter grey with the border punch were left over pieces from other projects the only addition was the stamped sentiment.
The upper right hand corner felt like it needed something so after trying out various pearls and crystals, I settled on these pink pearls. I think they add a little bit of punch and really help to balance the composition of the card.
I hope you like it. Any thoughts on what you might have done differently would be greatly appreciated. I would love some constructive feedback that I can use to improve my cardmaking.
Also check out this card/post from February. It would have rocked this challenge as well.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment (hopefully).
