Compose a Card Challenge #8

Hi all,

I'm playing along with Becky's latest Compose a Card Challenge.  I really took her comment "So I left the rules LOOSE this time!" to heart and interpreted the card my way.

I took my inspiration from the Brown dress option:

I stamped the card base with a stamp from my stash that was inspired by the brown and white circles but after getting them on the card it made me think of a ring left by a coffee cup and I ran with that idea.  This lead me to the ledger paper and the coffee theme stamp set.  A button was need and a little ribbon to so I added them too.

With the card being in dark brown I added more ledger paper to the inside to provide a place for a note and I thought another coffee ring would finish it off perfectly.

I hope you enjoy the card and thanks for stopping by the blog.

Paper - Papertrey Ink's (PTI) Dark Chocolate and Ripe Avacado - Making Memories' Ledger Paper
Stamp - Gina K's My Cuppa' Joe for the coffee cup and sentiment - for the coffee cup ring it's from my stash and I don't remember the name of the set or the mfg.
Ink - Versamark, SU Old Olive, and PTI's Chamomile
Embellishments - PTI's Brown button and Ripe Avacado ribbon.
Tools - EK Success' Binding Edge Edger punch

  1. Oh sweet! I like the coffee cup and the whole general idea, looks great! isn't that a cool edge punch? great choice for this card

  2. Jessica...this card is both cute and clever! I love it! Great job!
